Intractables user J3443RY created a fun, eye-catching cardboard deer head using a few inexpensive home items and a free template from the web.
Step 1: Stock Up
Before you get started, you’ll need a few things.
- Marking Pencil or Pen
- Utility Knife with Extra Blades
- Tin Shears (optional)
- Scotch Tape
- Shipping Tape
- Duct Tape
- 1/2″ thick foam spacer (I used shipping foam sheets but any similar material would work)
- Hot Glue Gun & Sticks
- Can Pull Tab for Hanger or other method of hanging finished project
Step 2: Bits and Pieces
Print out the template and cut around the outlines until you have the necessary pieces. Place on top of pieces of cardboard and, using an x-acto knife, slice the cardboard along the same outline.
Step 3: Measure and Cut Trophy Mount and Add a Hanger to the Back
Step 4: Assembly
Unite each individual cardboard cutout, following the template file as a reference.
